Since I am almost finished I think it'd be time for me to post my progress and this case came from.
First of all, this is the first case mod that I've actualy completed (almost). I'm very proud of myself
This is a case I had not picked in a previous mod I attempted.
I got(saved) this case from a local computer parts store. It was empty when I got it.

Two views of the case (the one on the right)
At first I wanted to make something crazy with a performance cold air intake filter off my old car, then with looking at the size of the case and the size of the cone filter, it just could not be done. It was too big.
I was thinking for idea's then all of a sudden I pictured an acrylic case, got me brain stormin'.
So as soon as I had some spare time, I remembered of an old acrylic (.200 thick) router bit display at work (was badly scratched, but was a good canvas) (sorry I don't have pictures of this

) and this sparked an idea.
From that points I was convinced of doing my own acrylic case, but I needed a base for the pci ports so it could all fit toghether properly and I had a decent base to start with.
I started with this.

Ended with this. Nice little frame to hold acrylic
Now since plain cut metal didn't look too good and you could see burn marks from my "super dremel" a big kids "toy" a Dewalt angle grinder with a Zipcut blade (took me ~10 minutes to cut all you see there with nice clean cuts

)
After using the dremel to smooth out all the sharp edges the zipcut did I started to paint the frame.
Four coats in total, green, green, yellow, green, to give it that bright green effect, wasn't much of a job since there's only around 3\8" left on each side.

So after cutting my salvaged acrylic to size with a table saw, i proceeded to sand it to make it have the "smokey" finish (hence Glow), because it was already all scratched and old.
Then I drilled holes for mounting my motherboard with stainless steel hardware and rubber OO rings. (one problem solved)

My next mission was to find DVD\HDD holders, since I cut these ones out, first thought, my moms old computer! (I like to recycle, it makes my wallet happy

)
After a few holes drilled and a few bolts, nuts and washers and flat black, I've got a DVD\HDD tray!

Because art is just how I am, I had to paint designs on the plexi so you'd see the shadows trought the plexi.
Top : Duality^ (my original gaming\online name)
Bottom :

Front : Tribals and baby tribal dragon
Front bezel green LED fan holder : Tribal sun (shown in further pictures)

Now I finaly put the whole thing toghether ( took me ~2 hours to set the height of the mother board properly (took one nut, one OO rubber washer and one regular washer ). I drilled holes for the side, top, bottom and back acrylic panels, mounting them with small pan head screws (4-40) and lock nuts, ohhh, OHHHH, I forgot to tell you, I dyed ALL the cables black

. Look really sleek inside. (pictures in next post)
I am approaching my picture limit in this post, so I shall post a few more while on (no front bezel yet)

Thank you, good luck to the rest of the competitors
